BRANCH: INFANTRY

Position: INFANTRYman (MOS: 11B)

As a RANGER you will be required to not only up hold the standard, but abide by the standard! You are the spear, the bulk and the image of our Unit!

First things first! A Ranger, IS an Infantryman. His/Her MOS (Job) is 11B. We want to clearify for those who do not know and come in not know that. Because you are an Infantryman as a Ranger, you WILL still do infantry tasks. But, you will focus on the 3 Principle RANGER tasks and missions!:

• SPECIAL OPERATIONS RAIDS
• JOINT FORCIBLE ENTRY
• SPECIAL RECONNAISSANCE

While we prepare and train for these 3 principle tasks, you will contuine to meet the standard and prepare at the individual level and collective level to meet our mission requirements and goals!

Position: INDIRECT FIRE INFANTRYMAN (MOS: 11C)

As an Indirect Fire Infantryman, your job is to support the mission by providing organic fire support to your assigned Platoon and Company! You will be apart of a Mortar Element, Team or Squad and will train on a variety of Mortar Systems. Including but not limited:

• 60mm
• 82mm
• 120mm

While your primary mission will be Mortar Weapon systems you will sill train as an Infantryman and will still be required to meet and maintain Unit infantry standards to maintain your MOS as an Indirect Fire Infantryman.          

BRANCH: FIELD ARTILLERY

Position: JOINT FIRE SUPPORT SPECIALIST (MOS: 13F)

Joint Fire Support Specialists or Forward Observers provide timely and accurate fire support to the Mission. Our FOs are held to the SAME HIGH standards as their Infantry Counterparts! Some courses that our FOs go through are:

• Forward Observer or FO Certification
• Joint Fires Observer or JFO certification ASI L7
• Joint Terminal Attack Controller or JTAC certification ASI 1G

BRANCH: Force Sustainment (Support)

Positions: Out of game Roles (Administrative, Information Technology, Intelligence & Secuirty, Marketing)

Here in the 5th Ranger Battalion we absolutely RELY on our Support Shops and Support Soldiers and Civilans! Without them we would just be another group of people playing Arma. These teams allow us to make SURE they are we are meeting the standards and goals set forth by our Commander and to meet our Commanders Intent! We know that not everyone can or even wants to commit to the time schedule of an Arma group! But, we have also learned that there are people who want to be apart of the group and help. So because of that, we do offer the ability for people to be apart of our group without having an ingame requirement at all! Some of the shops you can join are below. NOTE: Not all support shops and capbilities are listed. If you have a suggestion you would like to do, talk to a recruiter and see if we already do it or not. If we don't we are most certifatlly open to implmentation if it meets are mission and Commanders Intent!
